Catholicate College , Pathanamthitta is the foremost educational institution of the Malankara Orthodox Church, founded by the late Catholicos, His Holiness Moran Mar Baselius Geevarghese ll.The college came into being as the fulfillment of the dream of a great visionary, His Grace Geevarghese Mar Philoxenos, Metropolitan. His Grace's dream came true posthumously in 1952, thanks to the relentless efforts of His Grace Daniel Mar Philoxenos Metropolitan, who became the first Principal of the college.

      It was a cherished dream and desire for us, the former students of Catholicate College Pathanamthitta to form an alumni in Pathanamthitta. The deep sentimental bondage that we all nurture in our heart towards this prestigious institution prompted us to such an aspiration.
